Spirit Halloween is the largest seasonal Halloween retailer in North America, known for transforming vacant storefronts into immersive, costume-filled destinations every fall.
I was responsible for ideating and generating weekly social content and larger activations/events. I was also tasked with fulfilling licensing and partnership obligations, sourcing influencers, scheduling content, and monitoring sentiment.
Know the Culture:
One video that took 5 minutes to shoot saw a combined 18k new followers across platforms, 2.2M views on Instagram and 5.5M views on TikTok.
Knowing that Skibidi Toilet costumes were trending in sales, and that users online would have a lot of opinions about it, I pushed the team to allow me to create an execution that would feel native to the platforms but also self aware about what we're selling.
Art the Clown:
Terrifier 3 is the highest grossing unrated film of all time.
Collaborating with BloodyDisgusting as sponsors for the Terrifier 3 premiere, I had the great privilege to help ideate a series of videos in which Art the Clown (played by David Howard Thornton) would shop around a Spirit Halloween and Spencer's Gifts. I also shot edited the vertical version of the video. This garnered 22M views on TikTok and an additional 7.8 on Instagram.
As a lifelong horror fan it was such an amazing experience to work with David Howard Thornton and the crew over at Bloody Disgusting.
